The Failure Of New Years Resolutions ...
Every year, a common custom is to create "New Years Resolutions." The idea is to take a look at the year that just passed and make decisions on what to do differently to make the new year "better."
However, as you know, most if not all New Years Resolutions go nowhere and nothing really changes -- at all or in a lasting way.
There are 3 reasons for this:
1. Where do the resolutions come from? Intellect, logic, wishes, wants, and pie in the sky dreams.
2. There's too much power in the forces in motion wanting to keep things the way they are and resolutions have no real oomph to overcome that inertia.
3. New Years Resolutions will almost always fail to create true and lasting change as long as you're still playing the Phase 1 game. It's only when you begin playing the Phase 2 game, knock out cloud cover, and expand into more and more of a direct experience of who you really are that anything will really change -- in your business and personal life -- in a significant and lasting way. And then, there's no need for resolutions because everything begins to crank in amazing ways on its own, without you needing to focus on it, intend for it, or "resolve" for it.
