There's Always A "Price" To Pay ...

Below is a link to an article that recently appeared in Orange County Weekly about one of the world's wealthiest men, Donald Bren.

It's such a brilliant and "right on" illustration of how stories unfold in Phase 1 of The Human Game that make it impossible to truly "win" the traditional Business Game -- no matter how much money, sales, profits, or net worth you pile up.

Even if  it seems like you're "winning" from a financial or numbers perspective, there's always a visible or invisible "price to pay" for what appears to be success.

On 60 minutes Sunday (April 12), Steve Wynn was on . He loves beauty and his success is all about collecting and creating beauty. He is going blind though. He has retinitis pigmentosa and is losing all his peripheral vision. Soon he will be completely blind.
He is worth millions, or billions, yet created himself to have the limitation of losing what he loves most., appreciating beauty.
Always a price to pay indeed.....

Yep, until you leap into Phase 2, knock out the cloud cover, and expand into playing The New Business Game.
